Riverview Ashland Child Care Centre
Preschool (3-5 years old)
A play-based curriculum where the children are exposed to natural textiles and open ended material that support all areas of development.
School Age (6-12 years old)
A before and after school program where children are encouraged to explore their interests and are supported by staff as they build their skills.
Part-time Forest Nursery
We are working on creating a morning, outdoor, nursery program for children ages 3-5 years old. Projected start date: September 2024
Our Approach
Our mission is to provide play-based and place-based care in a safe and home-like setting. We meet the needs of the whole child through our relationships with families, our curriculum and environment, and our connection with the neighbourhood beyond the centre.
Our program is strengthened by our different identities, abilities and perspectives. We are committed to equity in our program with meaningful inclusion: every child deserves to be an integral, respected and true part of their community. We believe in building on individual strengths and meeting the needs
of children and families. Parents and guardians play the most important role in a child's life and therefore a strong relationship between families and educators is essential.
