Today was so windy that we could not go into the forest 🌬️ Instead, we adventured in a lot of different ways.
Starting at our garden, we made kites with big burdock leaves 🍀 and gathered close while our volunteer, Jen, read stories 📚
Then, we headed down the path and found a tree to climb that was safely out of the forest and all it's dead branches 🌳
Eventually, we settled at the small hill where we rolled down the hill, checked out the other side of the river with our binoculars, watched some milkweed get carried away (they looked a bit like bubbles 🫧), and learned about and opened up some insect galls.
What a beautifully full morning of adventures!
Did you know, we are still accepting children into our Forest Nursery? If you want to come visit, or want to know more, you can check out our Forest School page or email raccforest@gmail.com for more information.
